Pornpimol Kasem
Bangkok · Foundations course
"I work in marketing and had no coding background at all. I tried a few free tutorials before finding Cortexa but always got lost after the first few lessons because there was no structure. Here, each week made sense given what I had done the previous week. The pace was manageable. I finished in eleven weeks working about six hours each week."

Thanwa Wattana
Chiang Mai · ML Models course
"The ML Models course covered more about data preparation than I expected, which was actually the most useful part. I came in thinking I just needed to learn which functions to call, but the course pushed me to think about why the data looks the way it does before training anything. The graded projects had useful written feedback — not just a score."

Nattawut Somchai
Bangkok · Mentorship Programme
"Having a mentor who looks at your actual code rather than a generic exercise is different in a way that is hard to explain until you have experienced it. My mentor asked questions that forced me to think through decisions I had made without thinking. The project I finished is something I am comfortable putting in front of people. That was the goal."

Sirilak Boonlert
Phuket · Foundations course
"I study from Phuket so the fully online format was necessary for me. Access to all materials worked fine throughout. The support team was responsive when I had a question about one of the exercises — I received a reply within the day. I am now halfway through the ML Models course."

Anurak Charoenwong
Bangkok · Mentorship Programme
"The programme is longer than I expected — I finished in about 15 weeks — but most of that was my own project scope being wider than I initially planned. My mentor helped me trim it back to something achievable without losing what made it interesting. The scheduling of sessions was reliable throughout. I did not have to chase anyone for an appointment."

Kanya Prasit
Bangkok · ML Models course
"I had used Python at work but never for data tasks. The ML Models course gave me a reasonable picture of the full workflow rather than just one piece of it. Peer discussion was active enough to be useful — some cohort members were at a similar level to me, which made the exchanges feel relevant rather than abstract. Worth the time."

Learner Journeys in More Detail
From administrative work to practical data skills
Foundations course · 10 weeks
Challenge
A healthcare administrator in Bangkok wanted to automate basic data tasks she was doing manually in spreadsheets. She had no previous coding experience and was unsure whether programming was something she could realistically learn alongside a full-time role.
What Helped
The Foundations course provided a weekly structure she could fit into evenings. The practice tasks were small enough to complete in a sitting rather than requiring long uninterrupted sessions. When she encountered a concept that did not click initially, the written explanations were sufficient to resolve it without needing to wait for a session.
Outcome
By week eight she had written a small script that handled a repetitive data-cleaning task she had previously done by hand each month. She completed the course and enrolled in the ML Models course the following intake.
"The pace matched what I could realistically give."
Moving from theory to a working ML pipeline
ML Models course · 11 weeks
Challenge
A software developer had read several books on machine learning but had never applied the methods to a real dataset. He found the gap between textbook examples and messy real-world data difficult to close on his own.
What Helped
The ML Models course used imperfect datasets rather than cleaned examples throughout. The module on evaluation metrics was the one he found most directly useful — it addressed questions he had been unable to fully answer from reading alone. Feedback on his first graded mini-project pointed out an evaluation mistake he had been repeating in his own experiments.
Outcome
He completed the course and was able to build a small classification pipeline for a side project that had been stalled for months. He said the course shifted him from knowing what the concepts were to being able to use them with reasonable judgement.
"The gap between reading about ML and actually doing it closed meaningfully."
